EASY STEPS IN INSTALLING AND REPAIRING YOUR REFRIGERATOR

Refrigerators have played important roles in our civilization. From the food preservation tools used by Eskimos in the cold regions of the world to the sophisticated refrigerators available these days, they have made people's lives more convenient and easy, saving costs that may be incurred from spoilage of foods and stuff. Owning a refrigerator requires responsibility, too, hence it is recommended that one knows the basic refrigerator repair and installation techniques and methods.

Installing a refrigerator is quite intricate, a little bit complicated, and definitely a straight forward process. There is a considerable number of things that you need to know and remember.

First in the list is how to move your refrigerator. The proper way of moving it is by doing so in an upright position. Second thing is the location of the fridge. In choosing of the location where you will place your refrigerator, consider the surrounding appliances. Make sure that your fridge will not be surrounded nearly by appliances that give off heat like a microwave oven. Such may cause some disasters, so it is highly recommended that you free your refrigerator from heat-giving neighbors. You might also want to put a flat surface like a cardboard or carpet to protect the floor on which your fridge will stand. Also, you would also need to level your unit by adjusting its screws on each side to raise or lower it until it reaches your desired level.

Installing your refrigerator is not enough. Maintenance is one thing and repairs the other. Being one of those appliances that run continuously, day-in and day-out, hence its maintenance must also be a lot.

In case your fridge just stops working, just know the following:

Unplugged your fridge before starting your repair. This is to avoid any possibility of electrical accidents or worse, electrocution on your part. The next thing to do is to see its motor or compressor located at the housing on the top of your fridge's motor. Check whether or not it has a capacitor – the one that stores electricity. Make sure that this is discharged to avoid any severe shock accidents. It is better to be healthy and whole, you know.

Check also the power supply of your fridge. The damage may be at the power supply, that is why your fridge is not working. An indication that the power supply is not functioning is that the fridge's power light is on. Otherwise, it needs to be addressed. Your fridge will not work without a functioning power supply.

One thing also is maybe there is an accumulated ice inside your fridge. You can check whether or not this is the case by first defrosting your fridge. Make sure that you have disconnected your power supply first.

Refrigerator Repair and Installation may look like easy at first, but it may be intricate and complicated. If you cannot determine the damage, or if refrigerator repair and installation are too big for you, then it is recommended that you go and see professional repairmen and installers.
